The Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir meets for rehearsal in the Sanctuary from 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM Wednesday evenings and 10:30 AM - 10:45 AM on Sundays. This ensemble participates in the 10:50 AM worship services throughout the year, except for the month of July. The choir is open to adults and high school students. New members are always welcome - there is no audition process. Come, make a joyful noise unto the Lord!
Children’s Choirs
Children have the joy of learning, playing and singing the music of the Christian faith here at First United Methodist Church with energy and excitement! These children share their gifts on a regular basis by participating in worship once a month during the 10:50 worship service and other special occasions. The meet on Wednesday nights during the school year for rehearsal from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Joyful Noise Ringers
The Joyful Noise Hand bell Choir is made up of high school students and adults meeting regularly at 8:30 AM on Sunday mornings in the Hand bell Room (#114). This ensemble participates in worship on special occasions.
Mulberry Street Pickers
Pickin’ n’ grinnin’ sums up our very own blue grass band - The Mulberry Street Pickers. This group meets on a regular basis to share in music and fellowship at DB Music 328 W. Lamar. They provide entertainment for our special events, playing both sacred and secular music.
